It's hard to believe that we're already over three months into 2018, and even harder to believe that the bookings are starting to roll in for 2019! I'm a bit late to the game with sharing my round up of 2017, but I've only got myself to blame as I swanned off to Bali and Indonesia to shoot a wedding and then travel for 6 weeks, making the scary decision to leave my laptop at home.
In 2016 I spent some time setting some intentions for my business, and last year saw me starting to reach those goals - the first of which was to shoot weddings outside of England. In April I travelled to Ireland in Sunny, my big yellow camper van, to shoot two weddings. Irish weddings turned out to be quite the party, and what with the good old Irish hospitality, guinness and incredible live music, by the end of the trip I was dreaming about moving to the Emerald Isle!
As well as travelling with my work 2017 saw me build stronger links closer to home too, and I shot more weddings than ever at Walcot Hall - thanks to the lovely team there for recommending me to some amazing couples, and for welcoming me into the office to warm my toes in front of the fire more than once.
As well as shooting lots of lovely weddings, 2017 was also the year that I bought my first house, fell in love, finished building my camper van (for now - I've got big plans for it this year though) and started a sideline in biodegradable glitter. It felt like a massive year both personally and professionally, and the new year is proving to be just as exciting! Anyway, enough of me waffling on - here is a juicy selection of my favourite moments from my 2017 weddings...
