My style is documentary photography, meaning I deal in candid, honest and natural storytelling rather than cliched, overly posed photographs. I immerse myself in my environment, whether that’s a wedding in a castle or a family stroll in the park, and use subtle direction to capture the story you want to tell.
I want you to look at my photographs and say to yourself “that’s really us.” To look and see a collection of authentic, heartfelt photographs which show real honest emotion through the capturing of the blink-and-you’ll-miss-them moments, the small glances and the unseen exchanges between you, your family and friends.
When it comes to portraits, I want to inject a bit of fun into things. I’ll encourage you to be silly, open-hearted and carefree so that you come away with a series of relaxed, comfortable photographs that genuinely show you – just don’t be afraid to have a bit of a lark!
All this being said, I also recognise the importance of the group shots - they're the one's your family members will treasure, the ones your children and grandchildren will pore over, laughing at the fashion choices we made (or maybe taking inspiration from them, who knows). Nobody wants to be consumed by hours of group shots, so together we'll carefully plan the groups and timeline so that they don't take up too much of your time!
Overall, my whole ethos is about being genuinely, wholeheartedly immersed in your big day and invested in you as a couple. If you've read through this and it's got you thinking "YES, that's what we want!" then I'd love to hear from you!
